In light of yesterday’s government advice regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, we would like to reassure everyone that we are making every effort to operate as close to normal as possible.

Our priority, as always, is the health and safety of our staff, tenants, suppliers, contractors and clients and we are continually working to minimise the disruption to our business operations. We will continue to follow government advice and ensure we are taking all precautions to reduce the risk of exposure to the virus.

Of course, some of our contingency measures may affect you and your business so please take a moment to read this through and familiarise yourself with our current measures.

Construction

Our endeavour despite these unprecedented circumstances is to keep our sites open and to support our clients and staff as we ordinarily would, but only where it is possible to adhere to social distancing requirements and ensure we are working safely, responsibly and efficiently.

We have put procedures in place to ensure we take all necessary precautions to maintain health, safety and business continuity during this challenging period and have put together plans to support the operation of our construction sites under these conditions.

Landlord & Tenant

Our office-based staff are working away from the office where possible and we are continuing our works on portfolio sites but with skeleton staff working in isolation. Our reception is open and able to direct calls and emails as usual and a letter has been sent to all of our tenants on this matter with further information specific to their situation.

Employees

We are continuously working to minimise the disruption to our business operations, and we will continue to follow government guidelines whilst working to minimise disruption to our services. We are in constant communication with our employees working from home via digital means, so communication is not lost, and staff remain supported and informed. Any of our staff out on site or working remotely are following social distancing, isolation and reporting procedures. All but essential travel will be avoided.

Meetings and Site Visits

All meetings for the foreseeable future will take place virtually to minimise potential contact with the virus and site visits will be scaled back to essential only with our Construction, Buildings Maintenance and Property teams working in isolation as per outlined above. For now, our reception number (01926 670 600) and email (info@thewigleygroup.com) are being monitored as usual and all calls and emails will be directed to the appropriate member of staff so please do contact us as you usually would if you have any questions or queries.

Going Forward

We will continue to monitor the ever-changing situation and follow advice from national and local government.

We will communicate with and work with all relevant parties to ensure the safety of the wider public as well as our staff, tenants, suppliers, contractors and clients and play our part in the effective management of this pandemic.

Throughout this ever-developing situation we still strive to meet our company values:

  • To maintain the highest professional standards
  • To act with integrity
  • To continually innovate
  • To be reliable
  • To be united

We will continue to provide updates on any developments in our business and hope you will inform us of any developments in yours that that may affect us.
