The Wigley Group Exceeds Fundraising Target For Warwickshire And Northamptonshire Air Ambulance

Colleagues at The Wigley Group took on the challenge of the Wolf Run to raise money for their local Air Ambulance in Warwickshire and Northamptonshire.

The team had hoped to raise £1,000 for the company’s chosen charity by completing the Wolf Run but managed to beat their target by collecting £1,589 in sponsorship.

Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance receive no government funding and rely solely on donations to continue to save lives.

The Air Ambulance attend around 1,000 missions a year, each costing around £1,700, and provide the best possible pre-hospital care and rapid transport to specialist hospitals for those suffering with serious injury and illness.

Claire Lynch, head of compliance at the commercial property and construction company based at Middlemarch Business Park in Coventry, said: “We are really happy to have raised the amount we did and can’t thank people enough for their contribution to the total.

“The Air Ambulance is an extremely important charity that relies on the public’s support as their rapid response time to extreme injuries can be the difference between life and death.

“The Wolf Run was tough, but we pulled together as a team to help each other over the obstacles and through the thick mud, reaching the finish line in good time.

“We’re really pleased with the excellent team effort and encouragement that was seen throughout the course, with everyone contributing to helping out and keeping the group morale up, especially when colleagues were put out of their comfort zones.

“We’re also extremely thankful to Darren Chester and Lee Tiff from local company Amazing Electricians for filling in after our team had some last-minute injuries. Amazing Electricians also helped to contribute to the funds raised.”
